Invited speaker at VPO 2023

VPO was the first research conference I’ve ever attended, it was in 2014 in Wroclaw, as a PhD student. Later in VPO 2016 Antwerp, as a PhD candidate, I won one of my first research awards and met Prof. Rozema, who gave me my first postdoc opportunity. In other words, VPO is an important conference to me, and I feel genuinely honored I got the chance to be an invited speaker at the VPO 2023 in Antwerp (thanks, Jos!). My talk entitled ‘The hidden secrets of corneal tomography’ summed up our work from the last few years on statistical modeling of light intensity distribution as a corneal biomarker. It was great to come back to Antwerp, reunite with old colleagues, and meet some new ones.
