Conference VPO 2016 – double award!

During my PhD I spent couple of fruitful months at The University of Manchester (UK). The work I presented in the Visual and Physiological Optics conference (VPO) 2016 celebrated in Antwerp, Belgium, was based on an experiment I performed at the British institution. In this work, ‘Scleral changes with accommodation’ we managed to prove that scleral shape is altered when we focus at close objects and what is more we observed that this effect was more noticeable in those participants who were myopes (those in need of glasses to see far objects).
I got the award of best poster presentation sponsored by OSA (Optical Society of America) and also the best poster design award. The poster became a journal paper published in an special issue of Ophthalmic and Physiological Optics that you can check here.
