Eyesight Explorers: our school visit

Una ingeniera en cada cole (A Female Engineer in Every School) is a program designed to promote female scientific role models for young children. Ana R. Arizcuren, a PhD student in Physics at Unizar, and I dedicated a day to explaining our eye research work to 7-year-olds at the CEIP Maria Moliner.

As early detection of eye diseases is one of our main research areas, we decided to make the visit engaging by preparing special glasses. These glasses simulate the visual impairments caused by some prevalent eye diseases, offering the children a glimpse into how vision is affected by these conditions.
